This Privacy Policy describes how the Countdownn mobile application ("App") by Kinglet Apps ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

By using the App, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

🛡 Information We Do Not Collect

Countdownn does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or user data. All countdown data, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Core Data.

We have no servers that receive your data. Your countdowns, notes, tags, photos, and settings never leave your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync.

☁ iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync (a premium feature), your countdown data is securely synced across your Apple devices using Apple CloudKit. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is fully managed by Apple's infrastructure.

We do not have access to your iCloud data. Apple's privacy practices govern how your iCloud data is handled. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the App's Settings.

📅 Calendar Access

With your explicit permission, Countdownn can access your device's Calendar (via Apple EventKit) to import events as countdowns. This access is:

Entirely optional and requested only when you use the Calendar import feature
Read-only — the App does not modify or delete your calendar events
Processed locally — no calendar data is sent to any server
Revocable at any time through iOS Settings → Privacy → Calendars

🔔 Local Notifications

Countdownn uses local notifications (via Apple's UserNotifications framework) to remind you of upcoming countdowns, early reminders, and completed events. These notifications are:

Created and scheduled entirely on your device
Not sent through any external push notification server
Customizable with different sounds and timing
Fully controlled by you — disable per-event or globally in Settings

📊 Analytics and Tracking

Countdownn does not use any third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, advertising services, or crash reporting tools. We do not track your usage, behavior, location, or any other personal information.

Your privacy is not our product — it's our promise.

💎 In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

The App offers a free version with core functionality. Premium features are available via in-app subscription, managed through RevenueCat (a subscription management platform) and processed by the Apple App Store.

Premium features include:

Unlimited countdowns
iCloud Sync across iPad, iPhone, and Mac
Import events from Calendar
Custom photo frames in Widgets
Custom notification sounds
Family Sharing support

RevenueCat processes subscription status and purchase receipts on behalf of Apple. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or personal data from our App. Their privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Subscription Terms:
Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Subscriptions can be managed by the user, and auto-renewal can be turned off by going to Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription.

📷 Photos & Media

Countdownn allows you to select photos from your Photo Library to use as widget backgrounds (a premium feature). Selected photos are:

Stored locally on your device in the App's sandboxed storage
Never uploaded to any server or shared with third parties
Deleted when you remove the photo frame or delete the event

📱 Home Screen & Lock Screen Widgets

Countdownn provides widgets that display countdown information on your Home Screen and Lock Screen. Widget data is shared between the App and widget extension through a shared App Group container — this is a local, on-device mechanism provided by Apple and does not involve any network transmission.

🔐 Data Storage & Security

All your data is stored securely using Apple's Core Data framework in the App's private sandboxed directory. If iCloud sync is enabled, data is additionally stored in your private CloudKit container.

We do not operate any servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, Apple ID, and iCloud account.

👶 Children's Privacy

Countdownn is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. Since the App collects no data at all, there is no risk of inadvertent data collection from minors.

📝 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
